Personality Profile:

As a first introduction to Wag, all daycare and boarding dogs are required to meet with our trainer or daycare staff member to have a personality profile. This informal meeting is a fun way for us to get to know your dog. We’ll go through the usual information with you and you can brag about all the great things your dog can do, their likes or dislikes, how they like to have fun, and what makes their tail wag! This assessment takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and leaves all parties feeling good about what’s next to come, whether it be boarding, daycare, or playdates. Owner information, emergency contacts, required forms, and credit card to be kept on file will be collected at this time.

Vaccine Requirements:

Daycare & Boarding 

  • Rabies
  • Distemper (DHPP)
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
  • Leptospirosis
  • Canine Influenza Bivalent (covers H3N8 & H3N2 strains)
  • Negative fecal—testing for ova, parasites & Giardia (please be specific with your vet about this testing). We will not accept a fecal float test.
  • Spay or neuter required by 7 months

Grooming 

  • Rabies
  • Distemper (DHPP)
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

Dog License

According to Connecticut regulations, all licensed animal care facilities like Wag Central must collect and maintain current copies of each dog’s town license. Need information about licensing your dog in Connecticut? Please visit the Animal Control Unit website to learn more. 


Daycare Drop-off and Pick-up Times:

Weekdays (Monday – Friday)

  • Drop-offs/Pickup: Anytime between 7 am-7 pm

Weekends (Saturday & Sunday)

  • Drop-offs/Pickups: Anytime between 10am-3pm.
  • Extended day option from 8am-6pm available for an additional $15 on either end.

If you are planning on picking up or dropping off your pup outside of these hours, you will incur a daycare full-day or half-day charge depending on the number of hours stayed.

In order for us to book boarding or daycare reservations, we need a credit card on file. All clients are required to keep a valid credit card on file.


Boarding Drop-off and Pick-up Times:

Weekdays (Monday – Friday)

  • Drop-offs: 2pm – 6pm
  • Pickups 8:30am – 10:30am

Weekends (Saturday – Sunday)

  • Drop-offs: 2pm – 3pm – We do not accept dogs for boarding after 3 pm on weekends
  • Pickups: 10am – 11am

On the weekends for boarding, our doors will remain locked until 10 am when we open.

A $38 half-day daycare fee will be applied to a boarding dog that arrives/leaves 5 hours BEFORE our boarding drop-off or pick-up hours.

A $45 full-day daycare fee will be applied to a boarding dog that arrives/leaves MORE than 5 hours out of our boarding drop-off or pick-up hours.

A $15 early/late fee will be applied to dogs who get dropped off/picked up before/after our lobby hours.

Walk-In Boarders – If you do not have a reservation, you will incur a $15 charge. Boarding is not guaranteed for walk-in clients. 

Deposits:  

  • Over 5 night stay: Pre-paid deposit for the first night of boarding
  • Over 10 night stay: Pre-paid deposit for 50% of the boarding

Packages:

  • Payment is due at the time of purchasing the package
  • Packages expire after 90 days

Cancellations:

Regular Season Daycare

  • We request at least 48 hours’ notice for daycare cancellations.
  • If no cancellation notice is given within the requested timeframe, a $30 cancellation fee may be applied.
  • If you miss 2 appointments without notice, we reserve the right to cancel future daycare reservations and/or require full payment upfront for any new reservations.

Regular Season Boarding

  • We request at least 48 hours’ notice for boarding cancellations.
  • If no cancellation notice is given within the requested timeframe, a $30 cancellation fee may be applied.
  • If you miss a boarding reservation without notice, we reserve the right to cancel future boarding reservations and/or require full payment upfront for any new reservations.

Peak and Holiday Cancellation Policies:

  • We request at least 5 days’ notice for peak and holiday season cancellations.
  • If no cancellation notice is given within the requested timeframe, you will be charged 50% of your scheduled boarding stay.
  • If you miss a peak/holiday boarding reservation without notice, we reserve the right to cancel future boarding reservations and/or require full payment upfront for any new reservations.

No-shows will be charged for the reservation in its entirety.

Peak and Holiday Seasons:

  • Summer: Memorial Day through Labor Day
  • April school break
  • Fourth of July Week
  • Thanksgiving Holiday
  • Christmas week
  • New Years week

Wag is Closed on:

  • New Years Day
  • Easter
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

If Wag Central is closed, then boarded pups will need to be picked up the following day.
